25-26 Budget Committee Meeting

A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the Corvallis Rural Fire Protection District, Benton and Linn Counties, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July ,1 2025 to June 30, 2026 will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at 6.00 pm.

The meeting will take place at Locke Fire Station, 544 NW Lewisburg Ave., Corvallis.

The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message and to receive comment from the public on the budget.

This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place. Any person may attend the meeting and discuss the proposed budget with the Budget Committee.

24-25 Budget Hearing Notice

A public meeting of the Corvallis Rural Fire Protection District (CRFPD) Board of Directors, Linn & Benton Counties, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025 well be held April 24, 2024, at 6pm in Locke Station (544 NW Lewisburg Ave. Corvallis). This budget was prepared using the same accounting basis as in the preceding year.  This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Board of Directors will take place to adopt the Budget as approved by the Budget Committee. Any person may appear at the meeting and discuss the proposals with the Board. A copy of the adopted budget may be obtained from the CRFPD website CorvallisCRFPD.com, or Locke Station (M-F, 8:30 am to 5pm) or contacting the CRFPD Treasurer Tony O'Donahue.

Budget process Approach

Each year CRFPD follows statutory requirements and produces a Budget through the process of a Budget Committee reviewing and commenting on the budget as presented by the Budget Officer, adjusting it, and once approved by the Budget Committee, it is passed on to the Governing Body where, possibly with minor changes, it is adopted.

For the Fiscal Year (2023-24) a total of $2,210,500 is budgeted to be spent on fire protection by the city of Corvallis Fire Department
